Intent to Vacate

amanda@rentthebestkc.com of your intent to vacate at least 30 days prior to moving. You must pay rent for your last month. Your security deposit cannot be used for your last month’s rent.
Clean
After you have moved everything out of your home, please throughly clean. Don’t forget about cleaning inside cabinets and drawers as well as inside appliances. Carpets must be professionally shampooed. Please mow the yard one last time prior to moving. If desired, we can provide contact information for professional cleaners we work with regularly.
Utilities
All utilities must stay on through the end of your lease.
Final Walk-Through
Contact Amanda to schedule a walk-through. Walk-throughs will only be completed after your home is vacant and cleaned. At this time, please provide your forwarding address.
Return Keys
Return all keys and garage door openers during your walkthrough.
Assess Damage
During your walk-through, we will assess for any damage to your home. If damage is present, it will be repaired and the cost will be deducted from your deposit. If additional cleaning or yard maintenance is needed, it will be completed and the cost will be deducted from your deposit. Your deposit, along with an itemized statement, will be returned to you within 30 days.
Forward Mail
Don’t forget to have your mail forwarded to your new address.
